About Us
Young Israel of Houston now counts more than 150 families as members, hosts a vibrant and inclusive religious school and one of the city's most respected early learning centers. We are proud of how each member brings his or her own story to our diverse community—such as those who have a multi-generational history at our congregation and those new to the city or Young Israel of Houston, of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking a Jewish community – a place to call home.
Davening
We celebrate our diversity by offering a host of different minyanim to cater to those of all backgrounds. Our Rabbi and Assistant Rabbi complement each other well, and their warmth and Torah knowledge allow for all of our members to have a Rabbinic figure which they can look up to.
Learning
Partnering together with the Kollel of Houston, our Shul offers many wonderful first-class educational programs. Between shiurim on various topics and to various groups and chavrusa-style learning every day, our goal is to provide for a lifetime of Jewish learning.
Now, as always, Young Israel of Houston is your home.
